Jane Lushka’s Guide
to sustainable fashion

At Jane Lushka, we design clothes that last. Clothes to feel comfortable and most importantly yourself in. Clothes to wear with a conscious, responsible mind. In response to global developments in sustainable fashion, we use organic materials made by carefully selected and trusted European manufacturers. This allows us to monitor every single stage of our sustainable production cycle, with the aim of reducing the use of water, energy, chemicals and waste. We try to be as transparent as possible and to create awareness on sustainable ways of living, clothes being a huge part of that.

So, without further ado, here’s our guide to creating a sustainable relationship with your wardrobe and how to make it last.

Invest in quality, not quantity

Even if you just take one piece of advice from us, please let it be this. Choose wisely and choose fashion that is made with love, care and attention to everyone involved. Those who create it, the wearer and the world.

Take care of your clothes

Have them mended when needed, wash them carefully and as little as possible (always with a full load) using a Guppybag when washing synthetics. Oh and please let your clothes air dry, they’ll thank you for it.

The 30 wears test

We are confident that the pieces you buy at Jane Lushka are top picks from your closet. Clothes that you keep wearing over and over. Make sure that whenever you purchase a new outfit or statement piece you imagine yourself wearing it for over 30 times (at least). A great thinking tool created by Livia Firth, the founder of Eco Age.

Wear it. Love it. Make it last.

Knit Power

by janelushka-en

This cute knitted floral top really gives you a flower power feeling and takes you back to the 70s. Platform heels, big sunglasses and denim jeans underneath and you have a good look for spring. Also nice to wear denim shorts underneath for when it gets warmer.
