Let’s catch up over coffee

JL curates: Amsterdam’s 5 best coffee places

The ritual around coffee and tea is one that we very much enjoy. Meeting up with a friend, getting inspired during a meeting or curling up on the coach of a cozy cafe with a book for a solo date. The outfit options are endless and fit perfectly within the JL aesthetic as they are comfortably stylish working for not against you - stay wrinkle free from your morning latte until the end of your day. The JL team curated a list of their favorite coffee spots in Amsterdam, where they take their brews very seriously yet the atmosphere is light and fun.

“Let’s catch up over coffee some time, shall we?!”

Safari.

Combine this cute cardigan with a white top underneath for a wonderfully fresh look. Do you want to wear the cardigan less classic? Then style it with wide beige jeans, a belt and cool lace-up boots.

Toki - Binnen Dommersstraat 15

Their iconic tortoise spoons are seen on IG accounts worldwide, this little hangout is the perfect place to go to for your morning cup, or during the weekend after visiting Amsterdam’s infamous Noordermarkt. Their tea menu is spot on too.

Ao Bar - Van Hallstraat 97

With a Japanese touch and an all blue interior this new hotspot soon became a favorite. Especially combined with a walk in Westerpark and a Sunday market visit.

Coffee District Willemsparkweg - Willemsparkweg 8

A favorite in the museum quarter area. Combine a latte with a walk in the park, a visit to the museum of contemporary art or a cookie and a good talk with a friend.

Pink and brown.

Is it the weekend yet? You will be very happy with this beautiful color combination! Brighter colors are always beautiful in combination with brown/earth tones.

Nice to wear the shorts with a pump, (without straps around the ankle) because of this you get extra long legs.

White Label - Jan Evertsenstraat 136

The perfect spot if you’re in the west side of the city for a quick stop, one of their scrumptious croissants, or to pick up a bag of beans for your new and improved coffee routine at home.

Public Space - Bercylaan 301

Take the ferry to visit the Eye Museum followed by a coffee (and lunch we suggest) at Public Space. Also a perfect spot for freelancers and digital nomads looking for a place to open up their laptops or plan a (coffee!) meeting.

Clean and classic.

On to spring! This beige look is very nice to combine with a bright color, such as orange. Wear it with a nice scarf around your neck like this striped one.

You can also wear the look in the evening with a heel and combine it with a smaller bag.
